But what if, you have a problem and want to roll back to previous version to prevent bugs? What if you accidentally uninstalled Google Play Store? What if you want to try out the latest Google Play version because it can takes weeks or long to automatically get the latest version?
Well, the answer is you need to install google play store manually. So in this tutorial, you will learn how to install google play store easily.
NOTE: You can also do this if you want to install any apps outside of Google Play Store.
How to install Google Play Store easily
Step 1: Check current version
Skip this step if you have accidentally removed Google Play Store.
The first thing you need to do is to check your current installed Google Play version. Open you Google Play Store, tap the three parallel lines in the upper left corner then choose Settings.
In my case, it’s in version 7.7.17.
Step 2: Get the latest APK
The next step is you want to download and get the latest version of Google Play Store APK file from APK Mirror.
As of this writing, the latest Google Play Store is version 7.7.31 updated on April 20, 2017 with a size of 17.67 MB. After you download this, save it somewhere on your Android phone.
Step 3: Check Unknown Sources
Google puts a simple security feature which you cannot install Android Apps and Games outside of Google Play Store.
This is a handy feature if you don’t know what you’re doing and want to avoid virus and malware from installing apps from unknown sources.
For now, check this feature to allow installation outside of Google Play Store. APK mirror established their reputation and have been trusted and recommended by the majority of Android Geeks.
To allow it, go to your phones Settings > Advance Settings > Security then enable Unknown sources for Android Nougat 7.0 users.
For those who have a lower Android version such as Android 4.2.2, just go to phones Settings > Security >then check Unknown Sources
If you have other Android version and can’t find this Settings, just explore your phones settings and look for Security.
Step 4: Install Google Play Store Manually
The next thing you would do is to install Google Play Store. To do that, locate where you saved the Google Play Store apk file which you downloaded on step 2.
After you have successfully installed it, re-check your version by doing the same in step 1. And viola you have successfully install Google Play Store easily.
Step 5: Uncheck unknown sources
This step is optional but if you feel uncomfortable to keep installations from unknown sources active, then you may want to uncheck or disable this.
To do this, follow the guide in step 3 then this time, uncheck it or disable it.
Don’t worry you can enable-disable this anytime without having issues.
How’s this process goes to you? We appreciate your feedback!
